In Queensland the document is a safety certificate. If a car does not pass, you have 14 days to get the listed faults repaired and bring it back — and a re-inspection inside that window only covers the items on the report, not the whole car again.
Miss the 14 days and it is a completely new inspection at full price. That is the expensive mistake, and it is why having the repairs done in the same workshop matters more than it sounds.
